The add on ‘SVXSDS‘ which runs beside SVXLink offers an option to send a DAPNET pager message using the SDS Message function of a Tetra radio. Of course this is only possible if the recipient owns a DAPNET account
Sending a message is very easy. Start a new SDS message with the characters ‘#D’. This flags the rest of the message as a DAPNET message. After a space, the recipient’s callsign and another space the actual message follows. Keep in mind this message as a maximal length of 80 characters.
#D PE2KMV Hello via the pager
By sending the SDS message above to the DMO repeater a DAPNET pager message with the text ‘Hello via the pager’ will be sent to recipient PE2KMV
